Happy Birthday from the Middle Kingdom!

生日快乐!

My journey started in Beijing, the day I packed up everything in my small apartment into the backpack. So here's photo #1 - the Great Wall. One of the seven wonders of the world, the wall stretches for 8851.8km!

I decided to visit mummy's hometown, Dapu, since I first landed myself in China. I wanted to hunt down the family roots, to see the place where my grandparents came from, to see the 'real' Hakka people! With the address and aunty's name in hand, I found the sweet 91-year-old lady!

What's this about?!

Hello Mummy!

I wanted to give you a nice birthday present but it's tough that I'm not geographically close to you. I thought this would be a great idea for your 60th since this is what I've been doing the past year. I came up with this idea only later on my journey...that explains why the special photos only started in the later posts.

I know it's kind of weird, strange that I would present you your birthday present with all my photos...But there will be no me without you! And I'm sure you'd be proud of your (and dad's) creation somehow! And to know that though I've been away for a while now, I'm always thinking of you! Of how lucky I am to have a GREAT MUMMY!!!!!!!!!

So, here we go, 60 photos from around the world, celebrating my amazing mummy's 60th!!!!! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MUMMY!

Ps: Just a funny photo I found on the internet! Heehee! :)
